Jean-Nicole
Zenns
Flutist Jean-Nicole Zenns is an active freelance musician
and public school music teacher. She earned her Bachelor
and Master of Music degrees as well as the Performer's Certificate
from SUNY Fredonia. She performs regularly on flute and
piccolo with the Western New York Chamber Orchestra, and
was featured as a soloist on two Brandenburg Concerti in
2007. She has performed as the principal flutist with the
Clarence Summer Orchestra and serves as a regular substitute
with the Buffalo Philharmonic and Erie Philharmonic Orchestras.
Nicole teaches flute and music classes to students from
kindergarten to college age, and serves as a New York State
School Music Association woodwind adjudicator and past president
of the Chautauqua County Music Teachers Association. She
also serves as the organist and choir director of St. Paul's
Episcopal Church in Mayville.
David
Allen Coester
A native of Virginia, guitarist David Allen Coester
earned both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in guitar
performance from the Manhattan School of Music. He lived
in New York City for 18 years and served as a member of
the music faculty of the Crestwood Music Education Center
in Westchester County. He has performed in Rome, Italy,
Washington, D.C., Seoul, South Korea, and, locally, at the
1891 Fredonia Opera House and at the Chautauqua Institution.
David moved to Chautauqua County in 2004 and opened the
MeanTone Guitar Studio in Dunkirk. He currently teaches
thirty students of all abilities from ages 8 to 80. As a
freelance musician, David also performs regularly at weddings,
gallery openings, and private functions throughout the region.
